Oxfordshire MG Owners Club - Calendar 2019

Please note, Oxfordshire MG Owners' Club events are shown in bold.

Club Sunday Fun Runs are usually held on the last Sunday of the month between April and September, weather permitting and other events which may arise, in which case the Sunday designated for a Fun Run may be moved forward or back in the calendar.

Other events, which may be of interest, are shown for information should you wish to attend.

September 2019

Every Saturday in September (7, 14, 21 & 28) the Classic Motor Hub at Bibury is open between 10am and 3pm

Sunday 1 September White Horse Classic & Vintage Vehicle Show, at the White Horse Country Park, just off the A350 to the north-east side of Westbury, Wiltshire. Free entry for driver and one passenger if you register before the day, otherwise £5.00 per adult charged on the day

Sunday 1 September - Morris Motors at 100: Historic Car Event at Nuffield Place

Wednesday 4 September - Club Night - Carswell Golf Clubhouse

Saturday 7 September - The Eden Group, Langley Rd, Hillmead, Swindon, SN5 5QJ are having a grand opening of their new MG dealership. The Club has been invited to put on a display of our cars to support the MG brand. Please would you email the Area Secretary if you can attend and provide details of what car/colour you will be displaying. Setup is from 10.00am to 10.30am. The launch is from 11.00am until 2.00pm.  You may stay longer if you wish, but for continuity, it is requested that your MG remains in place during this three hour period - NOTE CHANGE OF DATE

Sunday 8 September - Cirencester Classic Car Show - Cirencester Market Place, GL7 2NX in front of the Parish Church. Entry fee is £10.00

Sunday 15 September - Oxford Open Doors meet at Seacourt Park & Ride, Botley Road at 9.45am ready to drive in convoy to the front car park of County Hall, New Road, Oxford for 10.00am to be in place by 11.00am for the public opening

Saturday 21 September - Beech Hill Gararge Charity Day with coffee, cakes and barbecue, as well as a "scatter rally" all in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. £20.00 entry fee per car. Beech Hill Garage is located at Beech Hill Road, Beech Hill, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 2AU. For an entry form, email info@beechhillgarage.com

Sunday 29 September - Shalbourne Classic Car Show, Rivar Road, Shalbourne, Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 3PU, from 11.00am to 4.00pm

October 2019

Wednesday 2 October - Club Night - Carswell Golf Clubhouse

Sunday 6 October - Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage. This is the last Scramble event of 2019 and the Club has registered for discounted tickets. Please email Events Secretary for the discount code. Upon receipt of the code, visit Bicester Heritage and click on the Buy Tickets button which will take you to the booking page. Once on the booking page, click on the Enter Promo Code link at the top of the Tickets block on the booking page and input the Club's discount booking code The club ticket option will then become visible at the top of the list of ticket options. Please note, if any other ticket type is purchased instead of the Club Vehicle ticket, there will not be a space allocated in the club parking area. The discounted ticket offer expires on 6 September, after which time the club code can still be used to purchase full price club tickets and count towards allocated club parking. Please note, there will be no tickets available on the gate on the day. Club ticket closing date to count towards club parking allocation is no later than midnight Tuesday 1 October (subject to availability)
